To post your volunteer opportunities on this website, nonprofit organizations in the Edmonton and area, organizations must be set up with an account. To get started, contact govolunteer@volunteeredmonton.com.

Nonprofit organizations listed will provide Volunteer Edmonton, a program of The Support Network, with an overview of the work they do, current and accurate contact information, and volunteer roles. The organization must accept the values, principles and standards of the Canadian Code of Volunteer Involvement.

Alberta's YOUTH VOLUNTEER!
An online volunteer hub is designed for youth ages 14 to 24. Register as an agency to post your volunteer opportunities to take advantage of their free matching service. Volunteer opportunities are matched with youth according to their location, schedule and interests as well as age and qualifications. Your position is sent to the email inbox of all matching volunteers.

Charity Village Volunteer Listings
An easy to use online volunteer database that allows organizations from across Canada to post their volunteer opportunities.

Connect2Edmonton
This website features a forum with various discussion topics, including volunteering. To post your volunteer opportunities in the forum, you must register for a free account.

Craigslist
Register for a free account to get started on posting your volunteer opportunities.

Edmonton Examiner
The Edmonton Examiner has a section on its website dedicated to community information. Visit the Ur Edmonton section to sign up for an account and to start posting your volunteer opportunities, events, photos and videos.

Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council
The Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council accepts volunteer postings from organizations that primarily serve seniors. The posting will be listed on their website and/or in their weekly newsletter. Email memberservices@seniorscouncil.net.

Facebook
To post your opportunities, you must have an account to access the website. Visit the Marketplace section and click on "Add New Listing" and select the category "Job" to begin posting your information. Use specific key words to ensure that your opportunity can be easily searched by potential volunteers.

Idealist
First time users must sign up to register before posting on the website.

J.Percy Page High School 
Post your opportunites on the school's student website. If you have any questions, email Bruce Irwin or call (780) 462.3322 x.2241.

Kijiji
Kijiji is a group of free, local, community classifieds websites that provide people living in the same city the opportunity to meet, trade and share ideas. Organizations can post their volunteer opportunities for free in the volunteer section which can be found under "community".

Linking Boomers
A website for anyone 50+ interested in staying connected to their community.

Real Estate Weekly
This free publication is available every Wednesday. Their back page section is dedicated to advertising events in the Edmonton and area region. Posted volunteer opportunities must be for an event or special gathering. Send in a brief description at least 3 WEEKS prior to the event date by fax at (780) 454-7492 or email photos@rewedmonton.ca addressed to Sandi with "Community Events" in the subject line. The Activist Agenda (AA)
Nonprofit/voluntary organizations can list their volunteer opportunities in this weekly enewsletter, compiled by Michael Kalmanovitch from Earth's General Store.

University of Alberta Students' Union
Organizations are welcome to post their volunteer opportunties under the Community Volunteer Positions section.

VolWeb
Organizations with upcoming events—festivals, fundraisers, conferences, tournaments and more—can sign up to VolWeb  and start posting event-based volunteer opportunities free-of-charge. The event must feature short-term volunteer opportunities with a clear start and end date.

VUE Weekly
Nonprofit organizations can post volunteer opportunities for free (must be 15 words or less, or subject to regular pricing).

Their deadline is Monday at noon, and the publication comes out the following Thursday. To send your volunteer posting, email classifieds@vueweekly.com or for more information, call (780) 426-1996.
